Karen James is the Sales Director at Techcare, a full-service, Chicago IT consulting firm specializing in providing outsourced technology support and effective technology solutions for small and midsize businesses, non-profit organizations and schools in the Chicago area. Founded in 1987, Techcare has earned a reputation for its strong expertise servicing a wide variety of industries, including health care, legal, accounting, architecture, financial services, education, manufacturing and graphic arts.

With nearly 20 years of experience in technology consulting and sales, James has played an instrumental role in helping the company become one of the top 100 managed service providers in the world –- one of only two in Chicago. Since she started as Technical Support Coordinator in 1990, James has helped Techcare expand its reach to serve companies and organizations in a broader range of industries. In 2007, James was promoted to Sales Director where she has been responsible for increasing the company’s annual revenue by 35 percent.

She is also an advocate for Compassion International and is an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox. James lives in Lindenhurst, Ill. with her husband and two sons.
